Friedrichshafen—The 29th edition of the international trade fair for fishing, fly-fishing and aquarium-keeping cannot take place as planned from March 4 to 6, 2022. The coronavirus regulations of the state of Baden-Württemberg prohibit trade fairs and exhibitions, making it impossible to plan ahead for all parties involved. "The continuance of the ban on trade fairs in the latest edition of the coronavirus regulations from February 9 has forced us to make this difficult but necessary decision," said Messe CEO Klaus Wellmann regretfully. Project lead Petra Rathgeber added, "The ban has been extended to February 25 and into the setup phase for our exhibitors and partners, making it impossible to hold the event as planned. We were looking forward to seeing everyone again. We contacted our exhibitors to talk about postponing to later in the year, but we were unable to find a suitable alternative to the customary appointment in March." Thus the next time Friedrichshafen will become the center of the world for fishing and aquarium enthusiasts will be on March 3 to 5, 2023.
